Every athlete moves through the same clear path — building skill, confidence, and mastery one tier at a time.

Tier 01
SCOUT
Entry level beginner. No experience with Air Rifle. Able to hit Single large targets.
Tier 02
RECON
Intermediate Beginner, understands basic safety knowledge of the Air Rifle and range safety rules. Able to make hits on small targets in the Prone position.
Tier 03
HUNTER JG
Advanced Beginner, comfortable in the prone position, able to hit competition targets consistently, introduce to Knee position. Full understanding of air rifle safety and range commands.
Tier 04
HUNTER
Intermediate, comfortable in prone and knee positions. Has Knowledge of the strap system, understands basic breathing and body stability techniques. Introduce to Stand position.
Tier 05
MARKSMAN JG
Intermediate Advanced, scores consistently in Prone and Knee positions. Better control in Stand position. Comfortable shooting box targets. Better hand stability and breathing control. Introduce rear sight adjustments and electronic targets. Qualify to attend local tournaments.
Tier 06
MARKSMAN
Advanced, upgrade to Crosman Sporter Air Rifle. Consistent scores in all three positions, Prone, Knee and Stand Qualify to attend Local and State tournaments. Full understanding of sight adjustments, cheek and butt piece adjustments and the functions of the Air Rifle. Able to comfortably shoot electronic targets.
Tier 07
SHARPSHOOTER
Mastered the Sporter Air Rifle. Understands trigger sensitivity and weight balancing the Air Rifle. Consistently scores above 250 out of 300. Qualify to attend National tournaments in Sporter class. Prepare to transition into Precision Air Rifles.
Tier 08
EXPERT
Introduced to Precision Air Rifle and equipped with a shooting suit and boots. Able to shoot 275 out of 300 maximum points. Seasoned competitor having participated in numerous Local, State and National CMP tournaments.
Tier 09
RANGER
Top air rifle travel team competitor for Arc Marksmanship Academy. Able to shoot consistently over 280 points. A Ranger has its own custom measured shooting suit, boots, precision air rifle and all the equipment needed to compete. Qualified to represent ARC at premier events such as Junior Olympics, Winter Air Gun, Junior Air Nationals, CMP Nationals and NCAA Division 1 College Invitationals.
